Shadow of a Butterfly

In the artworks of Rebecca Horn, whether in performance art, mechanical installations, dynamic sculptures, or abstract images created through automatic writing, there flows an underlying poetic essence, sometimes visible, sometimes hidden. Poetry, philosophy, and literature are some of the main sources of inspiration for her art. For this poetry reading, we have selected several poems written by the artist herself, as well as those by other poets who have inspired her works. We invited our poet friends, researchers, enthusiasts, and art practitioners to perform bilingual recitations of the following poems:

High Moon

An Art Circus

L'Amérique de Kafka

The Hotel / The Bordello / The Sanatorium

Book of Ashes

Labyrinths of Moles

Hope is the Thing with Feathers

L'aile Facile
